New flat
We recently started our third and final year at Uni, and I thought I'd share a little insight on how we've decorated, and how I've done my room. I get all excited when it comes to decorating my room, it's my favourite part about moving somewhere new. So much so that I will isolate myself until it's completely finished like I did at the start of second year.. good going Becks. Awesome social skills you've got there. We get it, your room looks cool.
We decorated our (much more spacious) living area with plenty of fairy lights - are you even at uni or an art student if you don't have fairy lights? Multiple pairs? I think I own about 5 pairs actually, which is probably a bit concerning if you knew how clumsy a was - a for sure fire hazard. But It's super cosy! We've been spending a lot of time in there watching movies together and we had a little housewarming not so long ago, it's great to have more space. We also appreciate the huge windows during the day that bring in lots of natural light which is useful for us when we're working.
And here's some photos of my room! I've decorated a bit over the top I know - but I appreciate having a decent amount of space since I have a lot (and I mean, a lot) of stuff. I personalised my room with a wall hanging (from Killstar), fairy lights, personalised postcards and signed posters and goodies from gigs. And other little funky decor items I've found here and there.
Also, if you have a lot of clothes like me - I definitely recommend getting a clothes rail and a shoe rack. Don't know how I'd have space in my room without them. I also added some sticky hooks as even more extra storage space - because oh how my clothes keep on piling up.
I'm really happy with my room and I can't wait to see what this next year brings!
